I'm Yvette Keyes, author of The Woman Who Chases.
The House of Keyes is my home as a writer.
This is where I explore love, relationships, intimacy, desire, womanhood, self-worth, identity, growth, and the complicated ways we love ourselves and each other.
Some of what I write comes from experience.
Some comes from observation.
And some begins with a question I can't stop thinking about.
I don't write because I have every answer.
I write because I've lived long enough to know that sometimes the most important questions deserve more than a quick answer.

Love, marriage, dating, conflict, staying, leaving, rebuilding, expectations, resentment, communication and everything relationships teach us about ourselves.
INTIMACY & DESIRE
Sex is part of intimacy.
But intimacy is also touch. Affection. Vulnerability. Desire. Emotional closeness. Feeling seen. Feeling wanted.
And sometimes, it's the loneliness of realizing you're sharing a life with someone you no longer feel close to.
We're grown here.
We can talk about it.
WOMANHOOD & IDENTITY
Who are you when you're not being somebody's wife, mother, partner, employee, caretaker or problem-solver?
What happens when the woman underneath all those roles starts asking what she wants?
SELF-WORTH & CHOOSING YOURSELF
Chasing. Overgiving. Settling. Boundaries. Validation. Self-abandonment.
And learning that choosing yourself doesn't necessarily mean you stopped loving someone else.
Sometimes it simply means you stopped leaving yourself behind.
TRUTH & GROWTH
There are things I believed at 25 that I don't believe anymore.
That's not failure.
That's living.
Here we make room for changing our minds, recognizing our patterns and admitting when experience taught us something our younger selves couldn't have understood yet.
STORIES FROM REAL LIFE
Some lessons arrive dramatically.
Others show up during an ordinary Tuesday conversation and knock something loose inside you.
I write about both.
Some stories will make you think.
Some may sting a little.
